A Bit About Me
As a Black, Queer therapist I am passionate about working with people of diverse backgrounds, specifically individuals who identify as BIPOC, Queer, and/or neurodivergent in the D.C area. I believe that clients are the experts of their own lived experiences and that my role is to empower you through cultivating a space of healing. While I use a variety of techniques, my approach to therapy is trauma-informed, holistic, and anti-oppressive. I want clients to feel comfortable bringing all of their identities into our sessions.

If you are interested in exploring concerns related to anxiety, depression, and other various life transitions, I am here to help! I also work with clients around ADHD, Autism, and/or gender/sexual identity exploration.

Establishing trust with clients is the most important part of my work as a therapist. Once we’ve developed a positive therapeutic relationship, we will work together to discover the best techniques and approaches that aid you in your healing journey.

You deserve a space that is comfortable and welcoming, so come as you are. In sessions, I am interactive, conversational, and expressive. I encourage clients to ask questions and provide honest feedback about our sessions to ensure I am meeting their needs. I firmly believe that real healing can only occur in spaces that validate who you are.
Below are additional approaches that I use based on client needs and backgrounds:
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Solution Focused Techniques
