INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

Clients work one-on-one with clinicians in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. In session, you will have the opportunity to explore your feelings, beliefs, behaviors, and work through challenging memories. You will identify aspects of your life you want to change, better understand yourself and others, and set personal goals. Change can feel overwhelming, but you are not alone in the process.

TELEHEALTH SESSIONS

During the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, all sessions will be conducted through TheraNest's online video portal. This system is free of charge to the client. At this time, no sessions are offered in person with any clinician.

VICARIOUS TRAUMA

Sometimes nurses, teachers, and therapists need therapy too. Being in a social service fields is a gift and a privilege, but it can come with challenges and hardships. Self-care is an integral part of providing the best services possible and preventing burnout. Through therapy, you can take the time to refresh, remotivate, and redirect so that you can continue to be the very best provider you can be.

ANXIETY

Anxiety can take many forms, from work-life stress to panic attacks. When anxiety becomes overwhelming and starts affecting your work, relationships, and overall well-being—we can work to break the cycle. Together we will build coping skills tailored to your mental, emotional, behavioral, and physical needs. Through therapy, you will learn to manage your anxiety, reduce stress, and regain control of your life.

DEPRESSION

Depression can often feel like a deep, inescapable chasm—but there is hope for change. From therapy to medication, to positive lifestyle changes, even the most severe depression is treatable. If depression is keeping you from achieving your goals and living the life you want, we can work together to help you find hope again.

LGBTQ+

Across the spectrum, LGBTQ+ persons face a wide range of unique and often challenging experiences. Whether you are coming to terms with a newfound identity, or want to better assess a long-established narrative, we can work together to foster strength and well-being. As an LGBTQ+ affirming practitioners, we are devoted to creating a safe space for you to share your story.

CULTURAL IDENTITY

Cultural identity forms the pillars of your personality. Oftentimes, it is complex, shifting, and even contradictory. Through the use of a narrative centered approach, we will explore what race and ethnicity mean to you and how they influence your perspective and the way you navigate the world.

WOMEN'S ISSUES

Women face a number of challenges and stressors including sexism, discrimination, and low self-esteem. At our practice, we take an integrative approach that focuses on gender and the particular challenges that affect women and undermine their mental health. Our goal is to empower you to understand the factors that contribute to your issues, discover and claim your unique identity, and build on personal strengths to improve your life.

ADDICTION

Whether its gambling, drugs, alcohol, or sex, addiction can feel like a downward spiral—but it doesn’t have to control your life. When treating addiction, we will examine all the factors—both internal and external—that influence your behavior. The first step on the road to change is asking for help, and we can meet you where you are with support and accountability.

Grief and loss are complex emotional experiences that occur when someone or something deeply valued is taken away. NEURODIVERGENCE

Barth Therapy celebrates neurodiversity as a therapeutic lens that not only recognizes but also values the inherent diversity in neurological development among individuals. We strive to empower and support individuals with a wide range of neurological profiles, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others. At Barth Therapy our approach is centered on comprehending and accommodating unique needs, nurturing self-acceptance, and assisting individuals in harnessing their strengths to lead enriching lives.
